Kathryn Smith Spencer joins Patrick Law Group with experience as a construction and contracting attorney. Prior to joining Patrick Law Group, she was an associate with a large firm in Atlanta where her practice was primarily devoted to the representation of Clients in the construction field, including owners, contractors, and subcontractors.

Ms. Spencer has experience preparing construction and commercial contracts, with an emphasis on agreements required for the development of facility projects. Ms. Spencer has drafted architectural, engineering, construction, and consulting agreements required for the development of health care, hospitality, retail and other complex projects.

Ms. Spencer also brings to the table experience handling a wide range of construction disputes including: representation of an international engineering firm in disputes arising from the environmental and remedial construction services associated with the cleanup of a nuclear facility; representation of an international EPC contractor and equipment manufacturer in disputes arising from the construction of an $800 million coal-fired power plant in the United States; representation of a municipality in disputes relating to the construction of international airport runway and taxiway; representation of a municipality in a contract dispute regarding the payment of rent at an international airport; and representation of a community development organization in a breach of contract dispute related to real estate transaction. Leveraging her dispute resolution experience, Ms. Spencer assists Clients with risk mitigation and dispute avoidance.

While in law school, Ms. Spencer interned with the in-house counsel at a large health care corporation gaining experience in the review of contracts specific to the health care industry.
